Director Marwan Hamed Secures a Cinematic Adaptation of the Best Selling Novel on the Silver Screen

The Blue Elephant Teaser Trailer Exceeds 1 Million Views


Following its release on Youtube, teaser trailer of The Blue Elephant has reached more than 1 million views, marking the great interest the audience has shown to the new cinema hit. Directed by Marwan Hamed, the new film is based on a novel that carries the same name by the celebrated Writer Ahmed Mourad whose book has topped the best selling records upon its release in 2012. The film is scheduled to release during Eid-Al Fitr season.

On the film's official Facebook page, the teaser trailer scored more than 1 million people whom have seen the post, 9500 shares, 10,000 likes and the page's fans have been increased to 217,000.

Directed by Marwan Hamed, The Blue Elephant film is a cinematic adaptation of the original book by Ahmed Mourad who also scripted the cinematic version of his own novel that unfolds mysteriously thrilling events.

The film follows Yehia who returns to work in Al Abasyia Psychiatric Hospital, after spending 5 years in solitude by his own choice. He works in the sector which examines the mental health of criminals where he has the encounter of an old friend who brings back old memories that he tried hard to forget. Yehia's life turns upside down which drives him to embark on a journey trying to unravel the mysteries of his friend, which eventually turns into a thrilling adventure discovering himself.

Starring Karim Abdelaziz, Khaled Elsawy, Nelly Karim and veteran Lebleba, The Blue Elephant is produced by Albatros Film Production and Distribution, which is founded by Kamel Abu Ali and has successfully produced 37 films and a TV series since it was first established in 2003.

The film is also produced by Lighthouse Films, and Al Shorouk Production. Co-founded in 2007 by Marwan Hamed and Fadi Fahim, Lighthouse Films is a leading production company with a young creative feel specialized in all parts of media production. The company produces TV content, features and short films.
