Warda's Teaser Trailer Intrigues Fans Online and Sets a Record
Featuring real-life footage of demonic possession cases and exorcism performances from across Egypt and other countries, Warda's teaser trailer has skyrocketed on social media pages. The teaser intrigued fans online and set a new record for the long-awaited film which will hit the Egyptian and Arab theatres soon.
Within only 4 days, Warda's teaser views reached more than 190,000 on Youtube and Facebook. The number of likes, shares and comments on Facebook, which collectively reached 11,000, reflects the fans' growing fascination with the dreadfully-lurid teaser of the film. The page received nearly a million visits by users last week, reaching more than 37,000 Likes.
Reactions boasted more than 600 comments, with several attempts to guess Warda's storyline and its real-life events. Many fans expressed that they were deeply affected by the trailer that they couldn't sleep after watching it. Some fans also said they were eager to watch the film with their friends, while others kept on posting invocations and prayers to cast the devil and demons away.
Based on true events, the feature Warda is directed by Hadi El Bagoury and is written by Mohamed Hefzy. Produced by Film Clinic and The Producers, in co-production with Aroma Pictures, the film will be released soon in theatres by MAD Solutions, the film's distributor.
