The Only Film to Be Screened in November 2014

Warda Revives the Egyptian Box Office

The long-awaited new film Warda puts the Egyptian box office back on track in November after a long quiet period following the season of Eid Al Adha. Warda will be the only film to be screened throughout November and it was decided to release across 30 Egyptian theatres starting on November 13th, 2014.

Commenting on the film, scriptwriter and co-producer of Warda, Mohamed Hefzy, said that the film is a great challenge for him as a scriptwriter and a producer since it is his first time to delve into the mysteries of the paranormal worlds. He stressed that releasing the film in winter season is not risky at all since the audience is growing more aware and picky as they go to theatres to watch a good film regardless of the timing. He also indicated that
Warda will satisfy all the categories of film goers, whether they are looking for new unprecedented subjects or thriller fans who are eager to watch new advanced cinematic techniques being used for the first time in Egypt.

The film's director, Hadi El Bagoury, described the whole experience of Warda as "a great adventure" for him as a filmmaker, stressing that those who knew him very well were surprised that the director of Wahed Sahih is the same person who created Warda. Depicting a brand new venturesome idea, El Bagoury showed an enterprising zeal the moment he eyed Hefzy's "intricate" scenario, as he described it, to emphasize that he won't limit himself to a certain genre.

Commenting on the time of Warda's screening, El Bagoury added that filmmakers should help in booming the box office and theatres with their films throughout the year. Producer
Hani Osama also added that Warda is the second film production for The Producers
following Excuse My French and marks a big challenge for producing new and different types of films.

In an incomparable phenomenon, the official Facebook pages of megastar
Hend Sabry, Blue Elephant film and director Amr Salama urged the audience to see
Warda, which is anticipated to be shortlisted as one of the best films produced in 2014.

Directed by Hadi El Bagoury and written by Mohamed Hefzy, Warda is produced by
Film Clinic and The Producers, in co-production with Aroma Pictures. The film is released in theatres by MAD Solutions, the film's distributor.
