Wael Omar Attends the World Premiere of The Dream of Shahrazad at International Documentary Film Festival Amsterdam

Producer Wael Omar travels to Netherlands to attend the World Premiere of the documentary The Dream of Shahrazad by Francois Verster at the 27th International Documentary Film Festival Amsterdam (IDFA).

The film explores aspects of artistic creativity in Egypt and Turkey amid the cyclones of change before, during and after the Arab Spring in the face of social and political oppression.

The Dream of Shahrazad will have 6 screenings within the festival which kicks off on Sunday, November 23rd, 2014, with the attendance of Co-producer Wael Omar of Middle West Films.
On his experience as a co-producer in this documentary, Omar stated, “I did not want to produce a film on the revolution unless I experience it and totally grasp the essence of it. In the Dream of Shahrazad, I actually lived it!”
