After Topping Bestseller Lists and Setting Records on Goodreads
The Producers Acquires Film Adaptation Rights of Mohamed Sadek's Hepta
The Producers has announced that they acquired the film adaptation rights of Mohamed
Sadek's celebrated novel Hepta to evolve into a motion-picture on the silver screen. This comes on the heels of topping the bestseller lists for many weeks and the release of 28 editions of the book only within 9 months since its release earlier this year, setting the record which is hardly obtained by a novel in the literary scene..
Remarking on the company's acquisition of Hepta's film adaptation, Executive Producer Hani
Osama, co-founder of The Producers, stated, "Hepta involves an eclectic mix of vivid elements: heartfelt emotions and real-life experiences. In addition to the novel's great success, Hepta
was well-received by readers and critics alike; thus, creating a film adaptation to the big screen will be an impressive experience in itself."
Hepta, which means number seven in ancient Greek, takes the reader in a journey to the worn-out world of love, which was tackled by thousands of authors throughout the years. Despite the fact that love is a recurrent theme, almost everyone commits the same mistakes, goes through the same pains and gets entangled in the same dreams and hopes.
Mohamed Sadek, in his novel, tracks the seven stages of love namely; the beginning, the encounter, the relationship, the wakefulness, the truth, which is followed by the decision, and then the ending, or the "Hepta" stage.
Penned by aspiring writer Mohamed Sadek, Hepta marks the author's third novel, following his debut novel Taha al-Ghareeb and Bedeia Saat men Youmin Ma. Shortly after its release in 2014, Hepta was a massive success, topping the bestseller lists of Al Shoroq bookshops for several weeks. Hitting the highest records on Goodreads lists during July across several Arab countries, Hepta has reached 4.1 out 5 notches, alongside 3 thousand critical reviews.
