As One of the Most Humane Dramas

The Egyptian Catholic Center for Cinema Honors Star Hend Sabry and the Cast of Halawat Al Dounia

Star Hend Sabry and the cast of Halawat Al Dounia are preparing to attend the honoring seminar that will be organized by the High Commission of the Egyptian Catholic Center for Cinema on Wednesday, the 27th of September at 07:00 pm, considering Halawat Al Dounia as one of the most important and humane TV dramas that aired during the past Ramadan season.

This is not the first time for Sabri to be honored for her role in Halawat Al Dounia, as last Ramadan, she attended a charity Sohour organized by the Baheya Foundation for Early Detection and Treatment of Breast Cancer, where she was honored for her role in the TV drama.

In Halawat Al Dounia, Sabry plays the role of a woman who is diagnosed with cancer shortly before her wedding. After absorbing the shock all by herself, she begins to reshape her new life and unexpectedly falls in love.

Since its airing, Halawat Al Dounia has received a wide acclaim, especially between Egyptian females. Breast cancer is considered one of the most common types of cancer in Egypt. During the airing of the fourth episode, hashtags of Hend Sabry and Halawat Al Dounia were amongst the top trending hashtags on Twitter, as the series ranked third and Sabry ranked seventh on the list.

Alongside Sabry, the TV series stars Dhafer L'Abidine, Mostafa Fahmy, Anoushka, Hanan Motawie and Hany Adel. Directed by Hussien El Menbawy, Halawat Al Dounia is written by Sama Ahmed and Engy Al Qasem, under the supervision of scriptwriter Tamer Habib and produced by Beelink Productions (Producer Mohammad Mashish).

Most recently, Hend Sabry has topped the Top 10 Arab Actresses in 2017 list that is issued by the Forbes Middle East every year, and this comes after Sabry ranked the 27th on the list of the Top 100 Arab Celebrities that the magazine revealed last August.

The magazine listed Hend Sabry in the first place judging on the number of her followers on social media platforms like Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and YouTube with more than 8.73 million followers. The selection criteria was also based on Sabry's activities in the film industry and other influential activities, including her work as a UN Goodwill Ambassador, according to the Forbes Middle East website.
