After being in charge of distributing his last two films across the Arab world, MAD Solutions revealed the kickoff of a screening program paying tribute to the prolific late director Mohamed Khan, where his latest two films; Before the Summer Crowds and Factory Girl will screen across Arab film festivals and theatres. The program will open with the screening of Before The Summer Crowds at the Cinema Le Parnasse in Tunisia.

On Tuesday morning, July 26, 2016, Mohamed Khan passed away following a heart attack. One of the most acclaimed directors in the history of Arab cinema, since 1972 Khan has directed 25 films winning more than 30 awards at international and local film festivals. Born on October 26, 1942, in Cairo, Egypt,
Khan studied at the London School of Film Technique (now known as The London International Film School) in England between 1962 and 1963. In 1963, he returned to Egypt and worked in the script department of the General Egyptian Film Organization, then moved to Lebanon to work as an assistant director till 1966. Khan went back to London and wrote his book Introduction to the Egyptian Cinema (Published by Informatics in London in 1969), edited the book Outline of Czechoslovakian Cinema (Published by Informatics in London in 1971), and wrote Journey of a Director (2015) that was published in Egypt. He also received a number of honors for his lifetime achievement and his films in the Arab world, and three of his films were selected on the 100 Greatest Arab Films list compiled by the
Dubai International Film Festival in 2013.

Before the Summer Crowds is co-written by Ghada Shahbandar and Nura El Sheikh, who also participated in the screenwriting. The film stars Maged El Kedwany, Hana Shiha, Ahmed Dawood, Lana Mushtaq and Hany El Metennawy. Set in a seaside resort, the film tracks a group of people who meet each other by the beginning of summer season.
