The Producers Starts Evolving the Novel into a Motion Picture on the Silver Screen
Hepta Is Named the Book of the Year by Virgin Mega Stores
Following the massive success it gained in 2014, Mohamed Sadek's celebrated novel Hepta is named the Book of the Year by Virgin Mega Store. The book was well received as fans of different ages flooded to bookstores to buy the book. The novel immediately stole the literary scene, topping the bestseller list for several weeks and breaking the records as 36 editions of the book were released since 2014.
Recently, The Producers has announced that they acquired the film adaptation rights of Hepta to evolve into a motion-picture on the silver screen and is now developing Hepta's script prior to the process of production.
In February, 2015, The Producers has taken part at the Arab Cinema Center within European Film Market at the 65th Berlin International Film Festival.
Hepta, which means number seven in ancient Greek, takes the reader in a journey to the worn-out world of love, which was tackled by thousands of authors throughout the years. Despite the fact that love is a recurrent theme, almost everyone commits the same mistakes, goes through the same pains and gets entangled in the same dreams and hopes. Sadek, in his novel, tracks the seven stages of love namely; the beginning, the encounter, the relationship, the wakefulness, the truth, which is followed by the decision, and then the ending, or the "Hepta" stage.
Penned by aspiring writer Mohamed Sadek, Hepta marks the author's third novel, following his debut novel Taha al-Ghareeb and Bedeia Saat Men Youmin Ma. Shortly after its release in 2014, Hepta was a massive success, topping the bestseller lists of Al Shoroq bookshops for several weeks. Hitting the highest records on Goodreads lists during July across several Arab countries, Hepta has reached 4.02 out of 5 notches, alongside 4000 critical reviews.
