Hend Sabry Crowned as Best Female Comedian in Sayidaty Magazine's Public Poll

Renowned actress Hend Sabry was crowned as Syidaty's Best Female Comedian in Egypt in a public poll conducted by the magazine to evaluate Ramadan TV series in 2014. Hend ranked #1 as per the votes received on the magazine's official website and through SMS messages on Sabry's role in the social comedy 'Embratoryat Meen?' which premiered in Ramadan 2014.

In recognition of her outstanding performance in the social comedy, Syidaty granted a Certificate of Appreciation to the Tunisian actress. Remarking on that, Sabry stated, "The audience is the true standard of the success of any actor or a TV drama and I am so glad that 'Embratoryat Meen?' was a huge success and was well-received by the audience during Ramadan and even following the season as it has been re-broadcasted on several TV Satellites."

"This success wouldn't have been achieved if it weren't for the tremendous efforts made by the whole crew," Sabry added.

On annual basis, Sayidaty Magazine conducts this poll, which covers 50 different categories of TV dramas and its actors/actresses, in addition to TV shows and its presenters. Within the category of Best Female Comedian, Hend recorded the highest number of votes landing in the first place, whereas veteran actress Lebleba ranked the 2nd for her role in Saheb ALSaada, while Nashwa Moustafa ranked at the 3rd place for her role in Ana W Baba W Mama. Furthermore the TV comedy 'Embratoryat Meen?' was also named the Best Egyptian Comedy Series in Ramadan in the magazine's poll.

Superstar Hend Sabry has recently returned from her homeland Tunisia, following her participation in the School Feeding Programme as part of her humanitarian efforts as the UN World Food Programme Regional Ambassador against Hunger. The program aims at fighting against hunger in developing countries and specifically in the Middle East.
