Four films distributed by MAD Solutions are going to be screened at the Festival International du Film Transsaharien de Zagora in Morocco (November 30 - December 4). The films Ali, the Goat and Ibrahim by Sherif El Bendary,Only Men Go to the Grave by Abdulla Al Kaabi, and the documentaryYa Omri (104 Wrinkles) byHady Zaccak will be competing in the Official Competition for Feature Films, whileHedi by Mohamed Ben Attia will be screened within the festival's programme.

About Ali, the Goat and Ibrahim

Ali, the Goat and Ibrahim follows a strange love story of a young man living in a rough neighborhood. He travels across Egypt on the recommendation of a psychic along with Ibrahim who is almost driven mad by the voices he hears in his head. Their journey turns into a voyage of friendship and self-discovery.

The film stars Ali Sobhi, Ahmed Magdy, Salwa Mohamed Aly and Nahed El Sebai. Directed by Sherif El Bendary, Ali, the Goat and Ibrahim is written by Ahmed Amer, based on Ibrahim El Batout's story, and produced by Mohamed Hefzy's Film Clinic, Transit Films of Hossam Elouan,and the French film production company Arizona Productions led by Guillaume de Seille, along with Daniel Ziskind as Associate Producer. The film's distribution in the Arab world is jointly handled by MAD Solutions and Film Clinic-Indie Distribution (FCID).


About Only Men Go to the Grave

After the Iraq-Iran war ended in 1988, a blind mother welcomes her estranged daughters to tell them a secret. Unfortunately, she accidentally dies while sharing it. During the funeral, the daughters try to deal with their mother's sudden death and also work together to unveil her secret by looking for clues from visitors. Throughout the funeral, their own lives continue to unravel, giving room for buried family tensions to gradually surface, while struggling to deal with their own secrets and deep-rooted guilt. The arrival of an unfamiliar guest rocks the entire foundation of their family. How do they deal with the aftermath?

Only Men Go to the Grave stars Saleema Yaqoub, Heba Sabah and Abdelreza Nasari. The film is written and directed by Abdulla Al Kaabi marking his debut feature film. MAD Solutions is handling the film's distribution in the Arab world.

About Ya Omri (104 Wrinkles)

Director Hady Zaccak follows his grandmother Henriette as she ages and crosses the centenarian milestone to reach 104 years. He witnesses the transformation of her memory, her emigration from Lebanon to Brazil and the stories of love, children and suspended time. The film is written and directed by Hady Zaccak, produced by ZAC Films and distributed in the Arab world by MAD Solutions.

About Hedi

The film follows Hedi (Majd Mastoura), a young man of few words who doesn't expect much from the future and lets others make his big decisions for him. His mother is preparing his marriage to Khadija, but two days before that; Hedi meets Rim (Rym Ben Messaoud) in the city of Mahdia, who captivates him by her free-spirit, and he finds himself obsessed with this new-born passion. Hedi is written and directed by Mohamed Ben Attia, and co-produced by Dora Bouchoucha, Nadim Cheikhrouha, along with Belgian producers and directors, the brothers Jean-Pierre Dardenne and Luc Dardenne, while the distribution of the film will be handled by MAD Solutions.
